Słupsk City Council

The City Council consists of the chairman, regular problem commissions and ad hoc commissions. Councillors can form a councillors club. In order to conduct particular tasks the City Council appoints regular problem commissions and ad hoc commisions.There are 23 councillors.


Commission on budget, economic growth and city promotion

Tasks:

  • economic, financial and city budget planning,

  • city promotion, including European Integration,

  • economic activity including trade and services,

  • preventing unemployment,

  • land use planning management,

  • investments.


Commission on public utilities, housing management and environment protection

Tasks:

  • public utilities and housing management,

  • organising and functioning of municipal public utility companies,

  • modernising and establishing municipal infrastructure,

  • environment protection.


Commision on education, culture, sport and tourism

Tasks:

  • functioning of education units,

  • youth and children teaching and raising,

  • functioning of culture units and sports clubs,

  • development of sport and tourism.


Commision on public order, law and social issues

Tasks:

  • observance of law,

  • public order in the city of Słupsk,

  • areas of social pathology of children, youth and adults,

  • social issues that are not subject to any other commisions.

    Auditoral commision

    Tasks:

  • to control the Mayor and the subordinate units according to the Regulations annex No. 4 to the Statute of the City of Słupsk.


    Commision on health and social issues

    Tasks:

  • functioning of health and welfare services,

  • health protection,

  • supporting nonprofit organisations,

  • dealing with problems resulting from unemployment.
